GMIS Illinois – GMIS is an international organization focusing on government employers and providing them a community of people to work with. The Illinois chapter of GMIS is the largest chapter in GMIS International. In 2023 GMIS IL started an award for the person that they saw to be the most active and helpful in the Slack channel. I was the inaugural recipient of the GMIS Slacker of the Year award.

ICIMA – Illinois County Information Management Agencies (ICIMA) is a group of Illinois counties that get together twice a year to discuss various technology aspects amongst themselves. I was one of the founding members when the organization officially became recognized. ICIMA is an amazing group of people and setting in which county IT staff are able to communicate clearly with one another about shared issues and how we resolve them to the best of our abilities.
